2017 Derby City Comic Con Convention Information
Derby City Comic Con will take place Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at the Kentucky Expo Center (East Hall A&B) in Louisville, KY. The convention will open at 10am and close at 6pm on Saturday. It will run from 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Doors will open 1 hour early each day for VIP ticket holders.

Public Tickets: Tickets for the 2017 show will go on sale to the general public on August 1st, 2017

Tickets at the door will be $20 per day or $30 for the weekend. VIP Tickets will NOT be available at the door!

The Hilton Garden Inn is set to be the "Official Host Hotel" of Derby City Comic Con. Contracts are still being negotiated but, over the coming months we will be working to secure group discount rates at many of Louisville's finest hotels! Derby City Comic Con Harassment Policy
Derby City Comic Con is dedicated to providing a harassment-free convention experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religious preference (including no preference). We do not tolerate harassment of convention participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any convention venue, including panels. Convention participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the convention [without a refund] at the discretion of the convention organizers.
To clarify, harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion or lack thereof ; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of panels or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately. Failure to do so can lead to expulsion from the show without refund.
The above rights are especially extended to our costumed (aka cosplayer) attendees. No harassment of any costumed individual will be tolerated in any form; be it verbal or physical. Anyone wishing to obtain a photograph of a cosplayer should ask and if the cosplayer refuses, then that is the final word. Cosplayers should not be touched without permission and should not be detained in any way if they need to move away from a crowd. Convention participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference [without a refund] at the discretion of the convention organizers. Any cosplayer who feels that they are being harassed should contact a DCCC staff member immediately.
Exhibitors in the show floor, sponsor or vendor booths, or similar activities are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualized images, activities, or other material. Booth staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualized clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualized environment
Terms Relating To All Tables and Booths At Derby City Comic Con
DATES TO KNOW / PAYMENT PROCESS: Booths / Tables are to be purchased via our online registration on this site beginning on April 15th, 2017 at 8pm. Tables are sold on a first come, first served basis and placement may be selected at the time of purchase. Refunds for cancellation are available until August 1st, 2017. After that time, refunds cannot be offered. Further, credit toward future years is not a refund option at any time.
DEMAND FOR TABLES / SHOW FLOOR SPACE / TABLE SIZE: Tables are 8' long by 30" wide with approximately 4' behind each table. Booth spaces are 10' x 10'. Wall or end cap space is sold at a premium over inline space. All placement is done on a first come, first served basis! Premium booth placement is reserved for our Gold, Silver, and Bronze sponsors.
WHO WILL BE APPROVED: Order of registration is a consideration but NOT a determining factor of table approval. It is our job to build a show floor that helps bring people out to see the exhibitors, vendors, and creators. This means that choices will be made based on quality of product and professionalism of those applying to take part in the show. We have a set number of creator and vendor tables along with booths. We reserve the right to cancel your space reservation and refund your payment at any time.
NOTICE: ADULT MATERIAL: In an effort to promote and maintain a family friendly atmosphere, Derby City Comic Con requires that adult material not be prominently displayed and that vendors and exhibitors verify the age of any one purchasing said materials. If such material is displayed during the show weekend, it is the reserved right of the show to specify what material must be covered or removed. Refusal to remove or cover said material terminates this agreement and no refunds will be issued in such a situation of termination.
NOTICE: BOOTLEGS: Derby City Comic Con does not allow the sale of pirated or bootleg merchandise. Please do not display or sell these items. Doing this or any act which violates the law terminates this vendor agreement and no refunds will be issued in such a situation of termination.
SHOW FLOOR HOURS / SET-UP & TEARDOWN: The 2017 Derby City Comic Con will take place on October 28th-29th 2017.. Each exhibitor, creator or vendor is responsible for their own load in and load out. By submitting this request you also agree to set up at least one hour prior to opening the show floor to the public and you will not be able to tear down your table until after the show floor closes. Load in times and options will be sent out via email well in advance of the 2017 show. Items left overnight in Convention Center are not the responsibility of Lexington Comic & Toy Convention LLC or the Kentucky Expo Center. That said, we are contracting for security to oversee product during non-show hours.
HOLD HARMLESS: By agreeing to be an exhibitor or vendor at Derby City Comic Con, you agree to protect, keep and save Lexington Comic & Toy Convention LLC and any of their agents forever harmless from any damages, loss, theft, cost, liability, act of God, terrorism or expense that arises from exhibiting at this convention.This registration covers full setup, run, tear down, and exit of show. By requesting a table you indicate your approval of all information contained.
